Photography in the New Acropolis Museum (that houses Parthenon Sculptures – I’ve never been there myself) has been banned, even though it used to be allowed, seems really weird, but most of all, unecessarily restrictive. Thanks to Dave at Looting Matters for pointing this out.

  This is only vaguely linked to ancient history as it is news from Palestine, but I had to share this anyway, brilliant. Unfortuantely it looks like it because certain people don’t like men and unveiled woman mixing and have been blowing up such salons in protest (protest is probably the wrong word).

  Sweet, I’ve been looking for some spells to help me travel to the afterlife, archaeologists have found some in a newly discovered Egyptian tomb.

  Egypt is amending their laws “in a bid to preserve the nation’s documented archeological heritage and prevent the expatriation of any future discoveries”
