There's Kathleen Martinez as well? :D (I believe at the moment, the other most 'newsworthy' story according to the outlest was, at least in France, Dassault Systemes and Giza 3D, which had no mention of Dr Zahi AT ALL!)

Including rotations, my existing code handles something close to 10,000 images. I'm hoping to push that to about 75,000 images before I am finally done. Even without rotations, it will be close to 10,000 images. It's when you realise the size of the alphabet that you realise just why people still struggle with displaying hieroglyphs online. I'd love drag and drop - it's not something I had considered - but implementation is a nightmare.

Kate

PS I can't read hieroglyphs either! I just see it in terms of a mapping between two data topologies.

Thanks for pointing out the correction that you posted, I'd assumed that they weren't actually selling them (although I did have my check book ready just in case - but any check that I write would have bounced).

Thanks for including the Digging Digitally blog in your list. However, I must draw your attention to the correction I added: the Israel Antiquities Authority is only planning to sell high-resolution photos, not any artifacts. Sorry for the confusion!
